NOTE TO SUBSCRIBERS: Between 1983 and 1986, London photographer Mike Seaborne recorded the Isle of Dogs as it was then, when it was on the very point of dramatic change. He captured on camera the streets, the old docks, community life in pubs, shops and schools, and daily working life in the factories which were still operating. Now with every year that passes, his photographs become more interesting as they demonstrate how completely life has changed in the three decades since they were taken. There are over a thousand images in this Collection and over the next 12 months, we plan to organise them into both hard copy and digital archives, with captions, so that they can be enjoyed by present and future generations. We need to raise £2,000 towards the cost of this exercise, please help if you can, with a donation, however small.
